Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes, based in Worthing, is seeking a Home Manager for our dementia-focused Berkeley Lodge, with 40 hours per week and on-site duties. You will report to the Regional Operations Director and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an NMC registered adult nurse with CQC Registered Manager experience in nursing/dementia care for the elderly, and strong leadership to drive quality, budget adherence and service

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Adult Nurse (RGN/RMN) is essential.
• Experience as a CQC Registered Manager in Nursing/Dementia care for the elderly.
• Strong leadership to motivate, lead and support staff.
• Solid knowledge of CQC standards and current legislation for nursing homes.
• Ability to manage budgets and financial performance.

Job description

South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed,care homecompany based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. We have 411 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night, for long and short-term stays.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Home Manager is responsible as the registered manager to oversee the entire service.

The Home Manager will lead and manage the operation of our specialist dementia nursing home, Berkeley Lodge, you will work closely with your management team, providing strong leadership and inspiration. To ensure the highest standards are achieved in all areas of the home including relationship centred care, clinical compliance, hospitality services and business performance.

What the home requires in a Manager:

• NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RMN
• Experience of working as CQC Registered Manager specialising in Nursing/Dementia care for the elderly and frail. Applicants with substantial experience working at Deputy Manager level may also be considered
• A strong leader, who is able to motivate, lead and support clinical and non-clinical staff
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and all legislation relevant to a nursing home
• Financially aware and able to manage and adhere to budget

Position and reward for successful candidate:

• An excellent annual salary of £70 - £80K per annum depending on experience
• 25 Days Holiday plus usual bank holidays
• A permanent, full time contract of 40 hours per week
• Usual working hours will be weekday day shifts, with some flexibility required for quality monitoring purposes and on-call duties due to the seniority of the role
