South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing is recruiting a Home Manager to lead Berkeley Lodge, a dementia-specialist nursing home. You will oversee the service, work with the management team and ensure high standards of care, compliance, hospitality, and business performance.

The role requires an NMC registered adult nurse with CQC registered manager experience in elderly or dementia care; strong leadership; knowledge of CQC standards; and budget management. Weekday days with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• NMC registered adult nurse with experience as CQC registered manager in elderly/dementia care.
• Proven leadership to motivate and support clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Strong knowledge of CQC essential standards and related legislation for nursing homes.
• Financially capable of managing budgets.
• Experience at deputy manager level may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire service as Home Manager reporting to Regional Operations Director.

South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. We have 411 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours - day and night, for long and short-term stays.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the Home Manager is responsible as the registered manager to oversee the entire service.
The Home Manager will lead and manage the operation of our specialist dementia nursing home, Berkeley Lodge, you will work closely with your management team, providing strong leadership and inspiration. To ensure the highest standards are achieved in all areas of the home including relationship centred care, clinical compliance, hospitality services and business performance.

What the home requires in a Manager:

• NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RMN
• Experience of working as CQC Registered Manager specialising in Nursing/Dementia care for the elderly and frail. Applicants with substantial experience working at Deputy Manager level may also be considered
• A strong leader, who is able to motivate, lead and support clinical and non-clinical staff
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and all legislation relevant to a nursing home
• Financially aware and able to manage and adhere to budget

Position and reward for successful candidate:

• An excellent annual salary of up to £80K per annum depending on experience
• 25 Days Holiday plus usual bank holidays
• A permanent, full time contract of 40 hours per week
• Usual working hours will be weekday day shifts, with some flexibility required for quality monitoring purposes and on-call duties due to the seniority of the role
