Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Nursing Care Manager for Ascot Grange Care Home in Sunning Hill. You will deliver high-quality nursing care and directly manage the Registered General Nurses on the team.

You will coordinate resident assessments, ensure person-centred care plans, supervise the nursing team, and support ongoing professional development with focus on CQC Fundamental Standards and effective communication across staff.

Qualifications

• Hold a Registered Nurse qualification.
• 2–3 years post-qualification experience, with evidence of ongoing professional development in elderly care or a relevant field.
• Demonstrate management experience and a comprehensive understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships, including effective influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring the plan of care is accurate and reflected in the care needs summary; involve the resident in identifying needs and preferences and integrate information into a person-centred care plan.
• Ensure relevant information about each resident is communicated using appropriate methods (APB, Handover, MCM) to the proper staff to achieve a person-centred approach.
• Take overall responsibility for managing the Nursing Team and implement effective communication mechanisms (team meetings, communication boards, etc.).
• Support, guide and develop team members through regular supervisions, one-to-ones and yearly reviews, and support individual performance management plans.
