Job summary

HCA UK is seeking a Nursing Associate to join the Breast Unit at The Wellington Hospital, Platinum Medical Centre, London. The role is part-time (22.5 hours/week) with permanent contract and shifts Monday to Friday, requiring flexibility for early/late coverage.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within a busy outpatient setting, focusing on assessments, observations and care delivery across a breast outpatient caseload.

Qualifications

  • NMC registration is required to practice as a Nursing Associate.
  • Level 5 Nursing Associate Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in an acute hospital environment preferred, with exposure to Outpatients/Breast Unit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • A proactive, positive approach to delivering high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Support assessments, care planning and evaluation with the nursing team.
  • Record clinical observations accurately and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Maintain clear, timely patient records in line with standards.
  • Contribute to a safe, collaborative environment for patients and staff.

We’re looking for a Nursing Associate to join our Breast Unit at The Wellington Hospital, Platinum Medical Centre. Based within the state of the art Platinum Medical Centre, our Breast Unit provides triple assessment clinics, advanced diagnostics and a seamless patient pathway. Working alongside leading specialists in a modern outpatient environment, you’ll play an important role in supporting patients through every stage of their care with compassion, professionalism and expertise.

As a Nursing Associate in the Breast Unit, you’ll be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering safe, personalised and high quality care. The unit supports a renowned One Stop Breast Clinic and provides rapid access to diagnostics and specialist care. Working closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you’ll support patient assessments, clinical observations and ongoing care delivery across a varied outpatient caseload.

What you’ll do:
  • Deliver compassionate, person centred care to a group of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

  • Accurately perform and record clinical observations, escalating concerns when required.
  • Maintain clear, timely and accurate patient records in line with professional standards.
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive and collaborative environment for patients and colleagues.
What you’ll bring:
  • Nursing Associate NMC registration.
  • Level 5 Nursing Associate Foundation Degree, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working within an acute hospital environment, ideally with exposure to Outpatients and/or Breast Unit
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, proactive approach with a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
