Job summary

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust is seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to specialise in eating disorders at Springfield University Hospital in London. The role is a 12-month fixed term contract starting Sep/Oct 2026 and involves providing nursing input to young people in inpatient treatment.

You will work with registered nurses and a multidisciplinary team, manage a caseload, deliver therapeutic interventions, and support ongoing professional development in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree – or studying towards or equivalent level of educational attainment.
• Completion of Care Certificate and acquired competencies.
• English and Mathematics basic qualifications (eg GCSE at Grade C or above or evidence of Level 2 in Functional skills for numeracy and literacy)

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to young people receiving eating disorder treatment.
• Collaborate with MDT to manage eating disorders.
• Provide therapeutic eating support to patients, carers and families on nutritional issues.
• Contribute to care plans reflecting young people’s needs with the MDT and families.
• Cover across the ED service as needed according to service requirements.
