Job summary

The Old Station Nursery is seeking a dedicated Third in Charge at our Bampton nursery. You will work with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to lead daily life in the setting, supporting the team and ensuring high-quality care and education.

You will build strong relationships with families, uphold safeguarding and wellbeing, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment while guiding practice through EYFS principles.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years and safeguarding knowledge.
• Ability to lead by example and support others.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor colleagues to build confidence and deliver high-quality care and education.
• Work with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to keep the nursery running smoothly when they are absent.
• Guide the team in delivering EYFS through play and learning that reflect each child’s interests and needs.
• Build trusting relationships with families and collaborate with external professionals to support child development.
• Keep safeguarding and wellbeing at the heart of daily decisions.
