Rockmount Primary School is seeking a Fixed-term Teaching Assistant to join the Nursery, from 4 January 2027 to 31 August 2027. The role focuses on delivering learning activities, supporting literacy, numeracy and ICT, and providing specialist help for pupils requiring access support.

The post is 32 hours per week, 8.30am to 3.30pm, with some supervision before/after school, at lunchtimes and on trips. An enhanced DBS check is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Awareness of child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection policies.
• Awareness of difference and commitment to equal access to learning.

Responsabilités

• Deliver agreed learning activities and teaching programmes, adjusting them to pupil responses and needs.
• Support literacy, numeracy and ICT use in learning.
• Provide specialist help for pupils who need access support.
• Identify, prepare and maintain general and specialist equipment and resources.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection policies; report concerns.
• Support inclusion and equal access to learning for all pupils.
• Contribute to the school's ethos, aims and teamwork.
• Attend and participate in meetings as required.
• Supervise pupils before/after school and at lunchtime; accompany staff and pupils on visits and trips.
