An experienced and knowledgeable Reception Teaching Assistant is required for Reception Class in a successful primary school in Salford. This Reception TA role is to start in June and will continue for one year.

You must have prior experience of working in Nursery or Reception and have strong curriculum knowledge. This Reception Teaching Assistant role will be to support across all aspects of the Reception Class, including:

  • Leading groups for Phonics, Guided Reading, Writing and Maths
  • Supporting children with individual reading
  • Planning and preparing activities alongside the class teacher
  • Making assessments and recording data
  • Leading craft and play activities
  • Preparing indoor and outdoor areas

The school is looking for a Reception Teaching Assistant who can bring a creative and pro-active approach to the team, someone who is able to forge good relationships and work harmoniously with others. You will be expected to have good presence in the classroom and be confident managing behaviour in a positive, sensitive and calm manner.

The role is to start in June and will be required for one full year.

It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service and a full CV history back to full-time education. You must have UK classroom experience and professional references covering the last 2 years.
