Job summary

Byron Primary School seeks a dedicated nursery practitioner to deliver high-quality teaching in our brand-new nursery. You will plan engaging early years lessons, support diverse learners and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment.

You will work with colleagues, parents and partners to strengthen attendance and wellbeing, participate in professional learning and help drive school improvement priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and nursery experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that accelerate progress in the Early Years.
• Use assessment and formative feedback to adapt teaching to individual pupil needs.
• Support whole-school initiatives such as OPAL play and UNICEF RRS to enhance pupils’ development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external partners to improve attendance and behaviour.
• Be part of a professional learning culture where reflection, development and teamwork are encouraged.
