Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming North London primary school with nursery provision for a dedicated Nursery Teacher. This maternity-cover post runs January 2027 to the end of the academic year and requires strong EYFS experience.

You will lead a Nursery class, deliver play-based, child-centred learning in line with the EYFS Framework, plan and assess progress, build relationships with parents, and safeguard children. QTS and nursery/EYFS experience are essential.

Nursery Teacher

Full-Time Maternity Cover January 2027 - End of Academic Year

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and successful primary school with nursery provision in North London for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Early Years team on a maternity cover contract from January 2027 until the end of the academic year. The role would suit an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about giving children the very best start to their educational journey.

Hereis a well-established primary school with nursery provision, catering for children aged 3-11 in the London Borough of Barnet. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

In its most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged:

Duties as a Nursery Teacher:

Ideal Nursery Teacher:

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
