Job summary

N Family Club in Buckhurst Hill, Essex is seeking a Nursery Room Manager to lead a dedicated team of Educators in one of our nursery rooms. You will champion a curriculum-led approach, inspire staff, and ensure every child receives exceptional care and learning experiences.

Reporting to the management team, you will drive WIGs, uphold safeguarding standards, and partner with parents to support children’s development in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coaching a team in an early years setting (EYFS).
• Paediatric First Aid certification (12 hours) is required/preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection best practices.
• Passion for education and improving outcomes for young children.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a can-do approach.
• Ability to drive and achieve departmental goals (WIGs).

As a Room Manager at N Family, you'll lead an incredible team of expert Educators in one of our nursery family rooms. As a specialist in early years education, you'll be the driving force behind passionate, innovative teaching. Your key responsibilities

• Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.


• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and keep them involved in their children's learning.


• Embed and role-model our safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.

Our Room Managers should have...

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early years educator).


• For Baby Room Managers, you will need previous experience working with children under 2.


• Experience in leading and coaching a team.


• A background in leading consistent and exceptional customer service.


• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).


• Paediatric First Aid (12 hours) and a commitment to remain compliant.


• Relevant safeguarding/child protection training and be willing to update that training regularly.


• A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.


• A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
