Job summary

Busy Bees in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms and drive the Bee Curious curriculum, ensuring high standards of care and learning.

You will lead a supportive team, implement age-appropriate activities, and monitor children's progress, with opportunities for in-house training and career development within this Outstanding nursery.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting; supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Passionate about children’s development and family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring holistic development and personal care needs.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
