Randstad Education in Forest Row, East Sussex, is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Room Leader for a full-time, permanent role. You will lead a room for EYFS children, with hours 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate holds Level 3 Early Years / Childcare (CACHE/NVQ) and has UK nursery experience, strong EYFS knowledge, and an Enhanced DBS with references. The role offers progression opportunities and a supportive team in a local setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (CACHE, NVQ or equivalent) is required.
• Proven UK nursery experience, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding standards.
• Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire room staff to deliver high-quality EYFS care.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities; manage daily routines and the learning environment.
• Act as Key Person; monitor progress, conduct assessments and maintain learning journals.
• Maintain open, professional relationships with parents and carers regarding child updates.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance are followed.

Are you an experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner looking for a leadership role in Forest Row? We are seeking a dedicated Room Leader to join a vibrant local nursery team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire room staff to deliver exceptional Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) care.

• Room Management: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, manage daily routines, and oversee learning environments.

• Child Development: Act as a Key Person, monitoring progress, conducting assessments, and maintaining accurate learning journals.

• Parent Communication: Maintain open, professional relationships with parents and carers regarding child updates.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Candidate Requirements
