Randstad Education in Forest Row, East Sussex is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Room Leader to join a busy local nursery on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will lead a dedicated room team, plan age-appropriate activities, monitor child progress as a Key Person, and ensure safeguarding and EYFS standards are met, while maintaining strong relationships with families. The role offers a supportive environment with ongoing training and clear progression opportunities within the setting.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification required.
• Experience in a UK nursery, senior or supervisory role.
• Enhanced DBS check and two references required.
• Solid EYFS knowledge and safeguarding standards.

Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner looking for a leadership role in Forest Row? We are seeking a dedicated Room Leader to join a vibrant local nursery team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire room staff to deliver exceptional Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) care.

• Room Management: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, manage daily routines, and oversee learning environments.

• Child Development: Act as a Key Person, monitoring progress, conducting assessments, and maintaining accurate learning journals.

• Parent Communication: Maintain open, professional relationships with parents and carers regarding child updates.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (required).

• Experience: Proven experience working in a UK nursery setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.

• Knowledge: Deep understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding standards.

• Vetting: Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory professional references required.
