Job summary

Pure Care Recruitment is seeking a proactive Room Leader for a brand new nursery in Sutton. You will lead a dedicated team, create a warm, stimulating environment and ensure outstanding care and early years learning for children.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, plan activities, mentor staff and uphold safeguarding and EYFS standards, collaborating closely with parents and the management team from day one.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Have previous nursery/early years setting experience
• Have experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or experienced Nursery Practitioner
• Be confident leading and supporting a team
• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS
• Be passionate about children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be confident working with parents and colleagues
• Be proactive, reliable and able to use initiative

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running your room and ensuring outstanding care and learning opportunities.

ROOM LEADER – BRAND NEW NURSERY IN SUTTON - TE63304

Location: Sutton

Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Position: Room Leader

Are you an experienced and passionate Room Leader looking for an exciting opportunity to join a brand new nursery in Sutton? This is a fantastic chance to become part of a fresh, growing setting where you can make a real impact from day one.

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leader to join this newly established nursery. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in creating a warm, stimulating and high-quality environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.

This nursery is brand new, meaning you will have the opportunity to help shape the culture, routines and standards of the setting alongside an experienced management team. The successful Room Leader will be confident leading a team, supporting children's development and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring that children receive outstanding care, learning opportunities and support. You will work closely with your team to plan engaging activities, complete observations and assessments, and create an environment that encourages curiosity and development.

You will also be responsible for supporting and mentoring practitioners within your room, helping to maintain excellent safeguarding standards and building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

What We're Looking For
