Job summary

Storal is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to lead nursery operations across Hampshire and surrounding counties. You will mentor Nursery Managers, drive financial performance, and raise standards across multiple sites in a high-autonomy leadership role.

You will balance educational excellence with commercial strategy, ensuring EYFS compliance, Ofsted readiness, safeguarding, and staff development while expanding enrolment and ensuring strong customer outcomes for parents and children.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ full and relevant qualification in early years.
• Experience managing regional nurseries across multiple sites.
• Strong EYFS knowledge, Ofsted standards, safeguarding practices.
• Experience with budget management and commercial oversight.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Nursery Managers to achieve business results including quality and commercial performance.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of Nurseries in the assigned area, ensuring management teams meet/exceed company expectations.
• Ensure nurseries comply with relevant legislation, including Ofsted/EYFS requirements, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.
• Lead, coach and mentor Nursery Managers to help them achieve their goals and support the development of their teams.

Regional Operations Manager

Location: Covering Hampshire and surrounding counties in the South West

Hours: 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £60,000 plus car allowance £3,500 +fuel card

Meaningful relationships

As a Regional Operations Manager, you will act as a key link between the nurseries and senior management, ensuring that each Nursery thrives while aligning with the ethos, behaviors, and objectives of Storal.

Responsibilities

Support Nursery Managers to achieve business results including quality and commercial performance.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of your Nurseries in your assigned area, ensuring the management teams meet and/or exceed company expectations.

Ensure all nurseries comply with relevant legislation, including Ofsted/EYFS requirements, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.

Lead, coach and mentor Nursery Managers to help them achieve their goals and support the development of their teams.

Objectives and impact

• 1. Ensuring nurseries maintain strict compliance with, and drive standards above regulatory requirements.
• 2. Improving financial performance year over year, maintaining and improving margin, and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
• 3. Monitor occupancy levels, staffing requirements and parent engagement so you can implement strategies to maximise enrolment across settings.
• 4. Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide initiatives and policies

Essential requirements

• Level 3 or above full and relevant qualification in early years
• Experience working as a regional nursery manager, across multiple sites
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding practices
• Experience in budget management and commercial oversight
• Strong ability to inspire and motivate others
