Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking Nursery Practitioners to support children across Finchley and surrounding areas in nursery or early years settings. These flexible short-term and long-term opportunities offer immediate starts, varying environments, and a nurturing approach to helping children learn and develop within the EYFS framework.

Ideal candidates will have experience with young children, a solid understanding of EYFS, and a passion for safeguarding and promoting welfare.

• Contribute to observations and maintain learning records when required.

• Work collaboratively with early years staff and contribute to daily routines during longer-term placements.

Nursery Practitioner – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Nursery Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years environments. You will be supporting children in Finchley and the surrounding areas, helping them learn, play, and develop within nurturing and engaging settings.

Duties as Nursery Practitioner:

• Support the planning and delivery of stimulating, age‑appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework
• Assist with the care, supervision, and well‑being of children aged 0–5
• Help create safe, inclusive, and developmentally rich environments
