Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries Ltd. is seeking an Early Years Educator to join our Darlington-based nursery, delivering high-quality early education and care to children under five.

You’ll implement the EYFS framework, create safe, engaging learning spaces, and build strong relationships with families as a dedicated key person. Ideally Level 3 in Early Years, you’ll bring passion for child development, excellent communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: prepare materials and arrange rooms to support learning.

About our Nursery

Our beautiful Darlington nursery has an Ofsted rating of Good, and has a capacity of 88. We have a longstanding and dedicated team that has the children at the centre of everything that we do. We are a purpose build with large gardens for children to explore and play. Located in the Cockerton Area of Town, close to the A1.

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner:

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children's growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
• Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
