Job summary

Oswald Road Primary School is recruiting a caring, enthusiastic Level 2 Nursery Practitioner to join our new Owlets nursery for 2-3 year olds, opened in 2026. You will contribute to a warm, safe environment where children can thrive and begin their early learning journey.

You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering high-quality care and engaging activities while safeguarding every child’s welfare and development.

Qualifications

• Careful, enthusiastic and motivated Level 2 Nursery Practitioner with a passion for Early Years education.
• Ability to provide high-quality physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery.
• Must meet qualifications listed for early-years roles per GOV.UK qualifications list.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard children and promote their welfare and safety.
• Provide high standard of care for all children in the nursery.
• Support other team members across the nursery.
• Work as part of a team to create an enabling environment for learning and development.

• Giving support to other team members throughout the nursery
• Working as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.
