  • The Early Years Teacher has a duty of care for all children in their care to safeguard and promote their welfare.
  • They will work as part of a team to meet all legal and curriculum requirements in line with Inspire Montessori Schools policies and procedures.
  • Good communication skills are essential, involving listening, questioning, understanding, and responding to children and colleagues. They will have a clear understanding of their role and others' within the team.
  • Sharing information promptly with staff and working together to ensure children's safety and well-being.
  • A solid understanding of child development is crucial to meet each child's individual needs. Involvement in planning activities to create a stimulating environment is expected, working closely with colleagues and parents.
  • Undertaking necessary health and safety training upon appointment and as required by legislation.
  • Following safe working practices for children and staff, complying with Inspire Montessori Schools' Health and Safety Policy.
  • Reporting concerns regarding the well-being and safeguarding of children and staff according to company policies and local authority guidelines.
  • Planning and prioritizing activities to develop a stimulating environment based on Montessori principles.
  • Ensuring responsibilities align with all company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintaining compliance with internal audits and addressing any action points.
  • Delivering high-quality childcare to ensure positive outcomes for children and staff.
  • Communicating with line managers about activities and progress, and committing to ongoing professional development.
  • Participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Being a key person for designated children to meet their developmental needs.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of all children in their care.
  • Building effective relationships with parents and maintaining professional conduct with visitors and staff.

Wembley Park Montessori is seeking an experienced Baby Unit Manager to join their warm and busy nursery of 36 places.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week on shifts between 8 am and 6 pm, with at least one half-day off per week.

Salary ranges from £24,960 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Familiarizing with nursery policies and involving the team in decision-making
  • Building partnerships with parents and children
  • Using nursery app "Blossom Educational" (training provided)
  • Deputizing for Managers when needed

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Childcare qualification or Montessori Diploma is essential
  • Experience leading a room with children under 5 in a nursery setting is essential
  • Experience in a Montessori environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Positive role model, with extensive knowledge of EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passionate, motivated, team-oriented, adaptable
  • Good ICT skills
  • Current and clean DBS certificate is essential
