Job summary

WMC Training in Maidenhead is seeking an LV3 Nursery Practitioner to join a dedicated early years team. You will support practitioners in delivering the EYFS curriculum, care for children aged 0–5, and help plan engaging activities.

You will build strong relationships with children and families, observe and record development, and participate in safeguarding, health and safety, and training opportunities. Apprenticeship level candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children.
• Genuine interest in early years education.
• Willingness to complete a childcare qualification.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s development.

Responsibilities

• Support EYFS curriculum delivery.
• Care for children aged 0–5, including feeding, nappies and toileting as required.
• Plan and support age-appropriate activities and play.
• Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development.
• Act as a key worker and build positive relationships with children and families.
• Promote wellbeing, inclusion and positive behaviour.

WMC Training is seeking a dedicated LV3 Nursery Practitioner to join a professional and supportive early years team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a passion for early years education and a desire to support children’s learning and development.

The employer will however also consider Apprentice level candidates looking for an opportunity to develop their career.

DUTIES

• Support practitioners in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Work towards an early years qualification with support from the setting and WMC Training.
• Care for children aged 0–5, including feeding, nappy changing and toileting where required.
• Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities and play.
• Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development.
• Act as a key worker and build positive relationships with children and families.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, inclusion, independence and positive behaviour.
• Ensure safeguarding, health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Communicate professionally with parents/carers and colleagues.
• Follow all setting policies and procedures.
• Attend team meetings, training and professional development sessions.
• Support the day-to-day running and organisation of the setting.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties required by the Setting Manager.
