Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and playful individual who loves working with little ones? We’re looking for a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly, nurturing nursery in Southampton, where children are supported to explore, grow, and thrive every day.
This welcoming nursery offers a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and kind. With a strong focus on child-led learning, the team works closely with families to give every child the very best start in life—emotionally, socially, and educationally.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive and inspiring experience for children aged 0–5. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS
Providing high-quality care, including feeding, changing, and comforting
Helping to create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
Observing and tracking children’s progress and contributing to their development records
Building strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and your team
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
A positive, gentle, and proactive attitude
A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Great teamwork and communication skills
A welcoming and collaborative team
Ongoing training and development opportunities
A strong focus on staff well-being and work-life balance
