Job description

TeacherActive Essex is currently recruiting passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioners to work within high-quality nurseries across Chelmsford.

This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, with shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Flexibility is available around start and finish times to support a healthy work-life balance.

We are working closely with welcoming, well-established nursery settings that place a strong focus on child development, staff wellbeing and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
• Support children with learning, play, routines and personal care.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Work full-time, 5 days per week, within Chelmsford.
• Follow flexible shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Qualifications

• A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
