Job summary

Bright Horizons Basildon Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join the Baby Room in Basildon, Essex. The role is full-time (40 hours, Monday–Friday) with onsite parking and a 50% childcare discount for the first child.

You will plan and deliver engaging activities to support children's development in line with the EYFS, ensuring safeguarding and strong partnerships with parents and carers.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Experience safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to develop trust and work with colleagues and parents.

Salary – Starting from £28,072.60 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours – Full time, 40 hours, Monday - Friday.

We're looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Basildon nursery. This position will be based within our Baby Room. With onsite car park, our nursery in Basildon is located within the David Lloyd Club behind Festival Leisure Park, and close to Basildon Station.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
