Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group in Haslemere is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our friendly team. You'll care for children aged 0-5, support activities, and help create a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and how to apply it in planning activities
• Ability to plan, observe and keep records when caring for nursery aged children
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs
• Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check is required

• Working with the team to provide high quality care for children aged 0-5
• Ensuring smooth daily nursery operations by adhering to policies and procedures

We offer a variety of opportunities, including:

• Full time, 40 hours a week
• Job shares, varying from 2-3 days a week
• Part time, 20 hours a week

Salary for Nursery Nurse is up to £29,286.40 per annum

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Working together with the rest of the team to provide high quality care for children aged 0-5.
• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.
• Using your knowledge, experience and imagination to come up with new ideas and activities.
• Building relationships with children and communicating well with their parents.
• Making sure every working day is fun!

About Our Haslemere Nursery

Just minutes from the High Street and a 10-minute walk from the train station, our nursery is housed in a historic former schoolhouse, providing a warm, inviting environment.

Bright, spacious rooms and a large dining area support engaging cookery club activities.

We also offer Ballet sessions and Forest School to enrich children's physical, social, and cognitive development.

Essential knowledge, skills, qualifications & experience:

• Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities
• To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs
• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
