Job summary

Pertemps Croydon is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Nurses to support children across nurseries and children's centres in South East London. Roles include flexible day-to-day supply, short-term placements and longer-term temp-to-perm options, with ongoing consultant support and access to diverse settings.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification, a Paediatric First Aid certificate, and a solid understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS framework.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is required.
  • Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate is required.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning through play and structured activities.
  • Promote children's physical, emotional and social development.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
  • Support the EYFS framework in daily practice.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
  • Observe, monitor and record children's progress.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety and setting policies.

A Nursery Nurse position is available in Bickley, offered by Pertemps Croydon at £13.91 per hour on a temporary basis. This role involves working within various nurseries and children’s centres across South East London, with flexible patterns including daily supply, short-term placements, and temp-to-perm contracts. Essential

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
  • Previous experience working within nurseries or children's centres
  • Experience supporting children from birth to five years
