Job summary

Action Staffing LTD is recruiting an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a nursery and oversee high-quality early years education and care.

This role is currently term-time only, with plans to move to full-time from January 2027, subject to progress. You will manage day-to-day operations, lead staff, safeguard, and ensure Ofsted readiness and EYFS compliance.

Salary £35,000 per annum. Benefits include free parking and medical and dental discounts through the nursery benefits programme.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Manager or senior early years leadership.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding.
• Good understanding of Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage day-to-day nursery operations.
• Experience mentoring and developing early years staff.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care, learning and development.
• Relevant Early Years qualification, ideally Level 3 or above.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, staff and external professionals.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a nursery setting and support the delivery of high-quality early years education and care.

This is currently a term-time-only position, with the nursery looking to become a full-time nursery from January 2027, subject to plans progressing successfully.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, leading and supporting staff, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and care, and ensuring the setting operates in line with relevant Early Years and Ofsted requirements.
