Job summary

Academics in Orpington is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the nursery within a primary school. You will oversee curriculum planning, staff support, and liaise with parents to monitor children's development.

The successful candidate will hold Level 3 Early Years or higher, bring recent nursery leadership experience, and demonstrate strong EYFS knowledge and excellent communication skills to drive quality provision and wraparound care.

Nursery Manager - Primary School

Location: Orpington
Start Date: 02/11/2026
Contract: Full Time, until end of academic year
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to join a welcoming primary school in Orpington to lead the day-to-day running of the nursery.

Duties include: Managing the nursery provision, supporting EYFS and working closely with the EYFS Lead and Assistant Head, curriculum planning, supporting staff, liaising with parents, monitoring children's development and overseeing wraparound care.

The Ideal Candidate: Level 3 Early Years qualification or above, recent nursery experience, ideally with leadership or supervisory experience, strong EYFS knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
