Job summary

First Steps is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery with passion, commitment and a focus on excellence. You will drive safeguarding, ensure high-quality education and nurture a team to deliver outstanding outcomes for children.

The role requires leadership experience in an early years setting, strong EYFS knowledge, and dedication to professional development and excellent family support.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding.
• Proven leadership and people development skills.
• Ability to drive teaching excellence and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
• Drive excellence in teaching, learning, safeguarding and compliance.
• Develop and inspire a high-performing team through leadership and support.
