Job summary

Staff Match Moseley, Birmingham, is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a well‑established nursery group. You will manage staff, oversee safeguarding and health & safety, and uphold high standards of care and EYFS planning.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or above), a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, and experience in recruitment, budgeting, and staff development. DBS checks will be carried out.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or above.
• Experience leading and motivating teams.
• Experience managing safeguarding and health & safety.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable).
• Paediatric First Aid (Desirable).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and develop staff while ensuring policy compliance.
• Work with the director to manage budgets, occupancy and KPIs.
• Assist in recruitment, inductions, supervisions and appraisals.
• Lead the team and support EYFS planning to ensure a safe, caring environment.
• Maintain children's observations, assessments and development records.
• Manage marketing activities such as newsletters and open days.
• Lead safeguarding and health & safety and policy compliance.
• Promote diversity and equal opportunity.
• Work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Lead by example with high standards of care and education.
