Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Stockport is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a busy nursery on a fixed-term basis from November 2026 to June 2027, with the potential for extension.

The role requires strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge, and a Level 3 Early Years qualification, plus the ability to manage staff, ensure high standards of care and education, and work the full operating hours of 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience as Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work the full nursery operating hours 7:30am–6:00pm.

• Manage staff rotas, performance, and training requirements.
