Job summary

RCM Recruitment seeks a Nursery Manager to join a progressive group of nurseries. The role requires a personable, passionate leader with prior management experience in childcare settings and a strong commitment to safeguarding and quality care.

You will be responsible for the daily running, safety, and development of the nursery, ensuring EYFS and Ofsted standards are met while building strong partnerships with parents and the local community.

Qualifications

• Senior role in childcare/nursery setting.
• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Effective communication, team player, able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe and ensure staff follow safeguarding procedures.
• Promote partnerships with parents/carers and families.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure a safe, efficient operation.
• Implement the daily routine.
• Ensure safety and hygiene of equipment; arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, Local Authorities and safeguarding requirements.
• Manage and deliver against KPIs and nursery financial and operational management.

We are looking for an outstanding Nursery Manager to join our client's team.

This will be a varied "hands on" Manager role working for a lovely settingwho are looking for a personable and passionate Manager that enjoys all area of the role and has experience as a Manager in previous settings.

The role of the Nursery Manager will include:

• Ensure that children are kept safe, and that staff understand, and when necessary, follow safeguarding procedures
• Promote and facilitate partnerships with parents/carers and other family members
• To manage and be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery to ensure a safe and efficient Day Nursery
• To implement the daily routine
• To ensure the safety and hygiene of all equipment, repairs or replacement as necessary
• To ensure that the nursery is safe, stimulating and compliant with EYFS, Ofsted, Local Authorities, relevant bodies and safeguarding requirements.
• To manage and deliver against agreed Key Performance Indicators and aspects of nursery financial and operational management

The ideal Nursery Manager will need to be/have:

• Experience of working in a senior role within a childcare/nursery setting
• Minimum NVQ level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
• To be able to communicate effectively, give support to other members of the team and to be a good team player
• To be able to work on own initiative
