Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated Nursery Manager to join a day nursery in Gateshead, supporting children aged 0-5 years. The setting provides an opportunity to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and develop through the EYFS framework.

This is a permanent Nursery Manager opportunity starting in January 2027, offering a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Experience in nursery management or a senior leadership role.
• Strong EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted knowledge.
• Experience managing staff and maintaining high childcare standards.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Positive, proactive and nurturing approach.

TeacherActive is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join a day nursery in Gateshead, supporting children aged 0-5 years. The setting provides an opportunity to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and develop through the EYFS framework.

This is a permanent Nursery Manager opportunity starting in January 2027, offering a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum.

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and support practitioners, ensure compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements, and maintain excellent relationships with parents, carers and staff.

The successful Nursery Manager will have:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
• Previous experience in nursery management or a senior leadership role within an Early Years setting
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
• Experience managing staff, supporting development and maintaining high standards of childcare
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
• A positive, proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children and staff
