Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting for a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a day nursery in Gateshead. Start date January 2027, salary £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, permanent contract.

You will oversee daily nursery operations, support practitioners and ensure safeguarding and Ofsted compliance, while building strong relationships with families and staff. The successful candidate will hold at least Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years Education and bring senior leadership experience within an EY setting,

• Previous experience in nursery management or a senior leadership role within an Early Years setting.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

TeacherActive is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join a day nursery in Gateshead, supporting children aged 0-5 years. The setting provides an opportunity to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and develop through the EYFS framework.

This is a permanent Nursery Manager opportunity starting in January 2027, offering a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and support practitioners, ensure compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements, and maintain excellent relationships with parents, carers and staff.

The successful Nursery Manager will have:
