TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Nursery Manager for a day nursery in Gateshead. The role focuses on creating a safe, welcoming environment for children aged 0-5, delivering high-quality care under the EYFS framework.

The position starts January 2027 with a permanent contract and a salary of £26,000–£30,000 per year. You will lead and support practitioners, ensure safeguarding and Ofsted compliance, and build strong relationships with parents and staff while maintaining excellent

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is required.
• Experience in nursery management or a senior leadership role in an Early Years setting.
• Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.

Nursery Manager

TeacherActive is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Manager to join a day nursery in Gateshead, supporting children aged 0-5 years. The setting provides an opportunity to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can learn, explore and develop through the EYFS framework.

This is a permanent Nursery Manager opportunity starting in January 2027, offering a salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and support practitioners, ensure compliance with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements, and maintain excellent relationships with parents, carers and staff.

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
• Previous experience in nursery management or a senior leadership role within an Early Years setting
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
• Experience managing staff, supporting development and maintaining high standards of childcare
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
• A positive, proactive and nurturing approach to supporting children and staff
