Job summary

Your Care Jobs Ltd in Brighton is seeking an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the daily operations of a busy nursery. You will help lead staff and ensure high standards of care and learning for every child.

As Deputy Manager, you’ll collaborate with the Nursery Manager to run the setting smoothly, maintain safeguarding updates, and work with parents to support children's development. Flexible shifts and urgent start available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and other Early Years training.

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a busy and friendly nursery setting.

The successful candidate will support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery, help lead the team and ensure children receive a high standard of care and learning.

The role

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager and staff team to ensure the smooth running of the setting.

Your responsibilities will include supporting staff, maintaining high standards of care, working closely with parents and carers, and helping to ensure the nursery operates in line with Early Years requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education
• At least 2 years' experience working within a nursery/Early Years setting
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
• Up-to-date safeguarding and other relevant Early Years training
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and support other staff
• Flexible approach to working morning and evening shifts
• Previous senior or leadership experience would be advantageous
