The University of Birmingham is seeking a Nursery Lunchtime Assistant for The Elms Day Nursery in Edgbaston, Birmingham. The role supports high quality care, safe supervision, and stimulating play aligned with EYFS, with light domestic duties during shifts.

Part time (up to 10 hours per week) permanent position. Salary starts in the £24k range, with full company benefits and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with children from birth to five years and behaviour management.
• Solid knowledge of child development and EYFS.
• Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety in workplace.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and set tables; clear them away.
• Assist in mealtimes and feeding; provide suitable food portions.
• Feed bottles and prepare meals for younger children.
• Provide engaging play opportunities and interact with children.
• Arrange the room and resources; work in team or independently.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies; support nurse/manager.
