Job summary

The Elms Day Nursery, situated beside the University of Birmingham in Edgbaston, is hiring a Nursery Lunchtime Assistant to work up to 10 hours per week. You will help with mealtimes, supervise children, and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for children birth to five years.
• Understanding of early years curriculum and safety policies.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training including First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting and clearing tables during mealtimes.
• Support children with feeding and age-appropriate portions.
• Assist nursery staff in providing play activities and observation.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Attend team meetings and participate in training as required.
