Job summary

Buckinghams Nursery School in Leek is seeking a friendly, reliable Lunchtime Practitioner for a part-time 20-hour week (10am–2pm, Monday to Friday). You will help create a safe, happy lunchtime experience and support children during meals and playtime with a caring, patient approach.

The role emphasises teamwork, good communication, and reliability while providing an opportunity to work with children in a close-knit community.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or higher required.
• Experience with children is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to engage and support children positively.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children during lunch.
• Encouraging good table manners and social interaction.
• Assisting with food service and clean-up.
• Supporting safe and active play during break times.

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Qualified Lunchtime Practitioner to join our team and help create a safe, happy, and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our children.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising children during lunch

• Assisting with food service and cleaning up after meals
• Supporting safe and active play during break times
• Promoting a safe and inclusive environment
