Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring a Nursery Kitchen Assistant for our Greater London centres. You will support meal service, help with food preparation, and maintain high kitchen hygiene in a busy nursery setting.

We value attention to detail, good time management, and clear communication with staff and parents. Prior kitchen experience is preferred and training on food safety will be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good time management to complete tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication with colleagues and parents.
• Previous experience in a kitchen assistant role is preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef during meal service by assisting with food preparation and delivering meals to rooms.
• Wash and sanitise kitchenware and preparation areas.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and nursery compliant.
• Assist with safe storage of food and kitchen supplies.
