Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries is hiring a part-time Nursery Chef to prepare and cook healthy meals for children and support cooking activities across the nursery. You will ensure high standards of hygiene, manage stock, and coordinate weekly food orders to support our nutritious menu.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen for nursery/childcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child-friendly nutritious menus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook healthy meals and snacks from Cherubs menus.
• Take an active role in cooking and baking with children for nursery events.
• Remove kitchen waste hygienically and dispose of in correct bins.
• Complete weekly food ordering and contact Head Office for payment.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
• Maintain stock levels and rotate stock to minimise waste.
• Follow health and safety legislation relevant to nursery kitchen.
• Keep the Kitchen Operations Pack updated at all times.
• Record fridge and freezer temperatures accurately.
