Job summary

Happy Days Nurseries in Cirencester is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join Edward Bears Nursery. You will work 30 hours per week, 11:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, supporting the Chef and serving meals to children during lunch times.

You will help prepare meals, manage dietary needs, and ensure hygiene standards. Training is provided, with benefits including health/wellbeing apps and career progression.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthy eating programmes for children.
• Experience in kitchen/food preparation in nursery or school settings preferred.
• Willingness to train and obtain a Food Hygiene certificate if needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals per weekly menus for all children.
• Assist the Chef and deliver meals safely to nursery rooms.
• Keep the kitchen and equipment clean and tidy.
• Communicate allergies and dietary requirements.
