Kido Reading Nursery & Preschool is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our vibrant team. The role focuses on keeping the nursery clean, safe, and welcoming, while promoting healthy meals and safeguarding practices for children.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with Health & Safety at Work Act requirements
• Make nursery look beautiful and always ready for Environmental Health inspection
• Clean and sanitise equipment, tidy areas, keep floors clear
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
• Promote hygiene practices and high cleanliness standards
• Be aware of EHO and COSHH regulations
• Promote safety, wellbeing and protection for all children through safe practices
• Support the team with other duties to foster an inclusive culture
• Follow Kido Schools safeguarding policy and report concerns appropriately
• Communicate effectively to ensure stock is ordered and organised

Your role goes beyond cooking as you’ll be an advocate for nutritious meals, communicating our carefully curated menus to both children and parents.

Kido are looking for a housekeeper to join the team at our New Launch nursery at, Kido Reading, 60 Bath Rd, Reading RG30 2AY

What you’ll be doing!

• Understand and comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act,
• Take ownership for making your nursery look beautiful and for it to be always ready for inspection from environmental health
• Clean and sanitise all of our equipment, tidy away clutter, keep floors clear and make
• Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
• Promote excellent hygiene practices in the nursery and maintain outstanding levels of cleanliness
• Be aware of, and comply with, EHO and COSHH regulations
• Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and protection for all children through safe working practices
• Help your team with other duties as needed so that we have a supportive and inclusive culture
• Work within Kïdo Schools Safeguarding policy and escape any concerns appropriately
• Communicate in an effective and timely way to ensure all stock is ordered and organised
