Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Field Chef to cover nurseries in the Basingstoke and Chineham areas. You will travel to sites where the permanent chef is on leave or absent, preparing and presenting meals for children with attention to dietary needs and portion control.

You will maintain kitchen records, ensure a clean, safe work environment and assist with food ordering across sites. A valid driver’s license and access to a car are essential for this role.

• Willingness to travel between nurseries across the Basingstoke and Chineham areas.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Bright Horizons nurseries within the region to cover in absences.
• Prepare, cook and present age-appropriate meals with minimal waste.
• Cater for dietary requirements and communicate them to nursery teams.
• Keep accurate kitchen records and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support nursery management with food ordering and stock control.

You will ensure all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to teams and will work in partnership with the nursery teams to support the nursery care and education provision.
