First Recruitment Services are partnering with a reputable educational sector client to recruit a Nursery Deputy Room Leader on a permanent, term-time basis.

Location: workplace around 7 miles north of Haywards Heath. The role is part-time (26 hours per week), Monday to Wednesday, with DBS checks required and own transport preferred due to rural location.

• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery room and help create engaging learning experiences.

• Assist with after-school provision and holiday childcare cover (around 10 days per year).
• Ensuring high standards of care and education for young children.

Nursery Deputy Room Leader

We are very pleased to be working alongside our highly reputable educational sector client as they seek to recruit a Nursery Deputy Room Leader to join them on a permanent basis in November 2026.

Location: Workplace based around 7 miles north of Haywards Heath.

Contract and working hours: Part Time permanent role - Term time only. Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 8am-5pm and Wednesday 8am-5pm. 26 hours per week during term time only.

Salary: £15125 per year for 26 hours per week term time only.

The job holder will need to drive and have their own transport due to rural workplace location. Role is subject to successful DBS screening.

Duties and responsibilities include

As Nursery Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day running of the nursery room, helping to create engaging learning experiences, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for young children.

Working closely with the Room Leader and wider Early Years team, you will help provide a safe, stimulating and inspiring environment where children can flourish.

26 hours per week, term time only.

The role also includes

• Supporting the After-School Provision
• Occasional holiday childcare cover (approximately 10 days across the year)
