Job summary

Holy Cross Pre-school Nursery and Kids’ Club is seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the setting in the manager's absence, ensuring high standards of childcare, safeguarding, and Ofsted compliance.

You will work alongside the nursery manager, promote our ethos, develop staff, manage occupancy and budgets, and build strong relationships with parents and local providers. The role offers term-time working with CPD opportunities and paid wellbeing day.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the nursery manager to lead the team.
• Promote values and ethos to provide a child-centred, safe environment.
• In the absence of the manager, be responsible for day-to-day operations in line with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
• Ensure EYFS and welfare requirements are delivered to a high standard.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local childcare/education providers and health services.
• Review and assess each child’s progress and maintain parent liaison communication.
• Lead and empower staff to deliver high standards of childcare.
