Nursery Deputy Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing nursery staff.
  • Supervise and appraise staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and nursery policies.

• Childcare and Education:

  • Deliver high-quality learning, development, and care.
  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Plan and oversee activities that support children's progress.

• Communication and Partnerships:

  • Build strong relationships with parents/carers, providing regular updates on their child s progress.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with parents/carers to enhance children's development.

Requirements:

• Education & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).

• Experience & Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a nursery setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted statutory guidance.

• Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
