A leading nursery in Hove seeks a Deputy Nursery Manager to join their management team. The role involves ensuring high standards of childcare, leading staff, and promoting a love of learning. Ideal candidates will have a Level 3 Early Years qualification and managerial experience.
Nursery: Blueberry Nursery School, Hove, 5 Davigdor Road, Hove, Brighton BN3 1QB
Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Up to £15.50 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience) plus £1,000 Welcome Bonus

You are a Level 3 or above qualified, Senior Early Years Educator / Senior Practitioner / Senior Nursery Nurse / Room leader who is ready for your next step or, you may even be an experienced Deputy Manager or similar, thriving on leading by example and inspiring others. Either way, we'd love to hear from you.
You love supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children, whilst motivating your team to do the same.
You have a natural, nurturing openness, along with a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards for young children in the UK.
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will be a key part of the nursery management team, ensuring the setting has the right staff, culture, policies, and resources to deliver high standards of childcare and early years education.
You will identify areas for improvement, whether related to learning and teaching techniques or creating stimulating experiences and environments for children and educators. You will embrace inclusivity to meet the individual needs of all within your care.
You will promote a love of learning through high-quality teaching under the EYFS framework, ensuring all children are safe and engaged in rich, stimulating experiences. You will lead, motivate, and inspire educators, manage ratios through staff rotas, attract new hires, and provide development opportunities. You will also deputise for the Nursery Manager during their absence.
