Job description

Full-time Nursery Cook - 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Cook to prepare simple, healthy meals for nursery children. The ideal candidate must have prior cooking experience in a nursery or school setting and be confident in preparing food for children with allergies and dietary requirements. Driving license is preferred, as the location is on a remote road without a footpath.

Nursery Cook Duties:

1. Cook simple, healthy meals from scratch and prepare snacks.
2. Manage food orders efficiently.
3. Ensure strict adherence to food allergy and dietary requirement protocols.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and eating areas.
5. Follow food hygiene and safety guidelines.
6. Serve food to children and interact with them positively.
7. Prepare food for nursery events such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Chinese New Year, etc.

Nursery Cook Requirements:

1. Recent UK-based experience as a cook, preferably within a nursery or school environment, cooking for children.
2. Experience with food allergies and dietary restrictions.
3. Food Hygiene Certificate.
4. Availability for full-time work, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
5. Ability to commute easily to Ruislip; driver’s license preferred due to location.
6. Ability to work independently in the kitchen.
