Job summary

Kids Planet is hiring a Nursery Cook to join our team. The role offers weekdays only, with no weekends or bank holidays, and the opportunity to be inventive with menus for children.

You will prepare healthy meals, support allergy considerations, and work in a friendly, community-focused setting that values care and curiosity. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Catering experience in a nursery or similar environment.
• Knowledge of preparing meals for children with dietary needs.
• Holder of a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals for children while accommodating allergies and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the team on snack making and baking activities.

How you’ll make a difference as a Nursery Cook:

By preparing healthy, nutritious meals, accommodating allergies and special dietary requirements for all children.

Through maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen, ensuring compliance with environmental health standards.

By collaborating with children and the nursery team in snack‑making and baking activities.

What a Nursery Cook needs:

Catering experience, preferably in a similar environment.

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs.
